Our Principal
Michelle Dixon - Woods has been involved with teaching dance for 30 years. In 1981 she took control of a dance school in Newbold Verdon, producing her first show in 1983. In 1985 Michelle started teaching in Oadby, with 25 pupils, after the first Oadby show in late 1986, the school doubled in size and Dixon - Woods was firmly established in dance circles.
The school continues to grow and Michelle is constantly trying to improve standards even higher. Dixon - Woods moved to their current base in June 2003, which enabled Michelle to expand the type of lessons available and for pupils to be taught in the correct environment.
Our School
Dixon-Woods School Of Dance teach following the British Theatre Dance Association (BTDA) syllabus, and are proud to have a 100% pass rate with our pupils.
Dixon-Woods School Of Dance consistently provides dancers from year to year supporting commercial shows in the Leicester and Leicestershire area.
In 2016 we were proud to be made the Midlands Dance Champions.
Many of our former pupils have achieved great success in the entertainment industry including performing in west end stage shows, touring shows, music concerts, and more. Some pupils have even gone on to choreograph on shows such as Strictly Come Dancing, Britains Got Talent, The Masked Singer, Royal Caribbean Cruises and many other shows and concerts too.
